Thank you so much for your comment that people seeing signs of an eating disorder should contact family members. Once an eating disorder has taken control of the mind it is very important to let loved ones have the opportunity to lovingly and firmly step in to help. Eating disorders make the brain protect the eating disorder - but loved ones can do a lot to help.

Just a reminder, not that anybody needs one, right? The Kimkins diet isn't the only Kimkins diet. There are other Kimkins diets.

They just have different names. They're promoted by different messiahs. They're hosted by different websites.

But they're still potentitally lethal & potentially ed-triggering -- because they're still vlcd's.

Thank you for your informative post. It's a common misunderstanding that people need to look like those pictures to have an eating disorder. Kimmer's constant urging to eat less and less and less, her emotionally abusive comments, and her recommendation of daily laxatives, all encourage disordered thinking about food. We've seen it over and over on the Kimkins diet has affected you.

What most people don't realize, and which you expressed in your comment, is that one can be anorexic even while maintaining a "normal" weight.

People don't realize that not all bulimics purge. It can be part of the same disease. People who wrongly make fun of the people who can only lose with gastric by pass don’t realize that it's disordered eating as well.

I didn't do kimkins. I saw that there was not even one serving of oatmeal and not enough veggies

I want to share a personal story with you. I have suffered from bulimia for over 30 years. Not all bulimics are small or even normal size. Many are overweight and as in my case, until WLS, extremely obese.
