It seems that she had a very long of nausea, dry heaves and alot of pain. There is still some swelling in the brain, which they said is normal for this type of injury.Then her mom wrote:

'We are now in a room and she is stable. She just needs a little more healing. Keep praying, ladies and gents.'"

I think we are into the healing time. The pain is a significant factor, but she is coping well.

'Becky, thank you for writing a good report. I am grateful for the compassion and love pouring out of these wonderful people.

Christin is about the same. She will respond when I talk directly to her, but does not remember what I say.

I am reading to her all of the posts, and I am asking her if she remembers each individual. The drs. want me to try to make her think and respond, so these words of prayer and love are "good medicine." (I can get online here in her hospital room.)

Brian is home, and the kids are at his sister's.

Thank you again, and thanks to everyone in the lowcarb world. I am using EVERYONE's prayers and encouraging words to try to help her focus and respond.

You all need to continue praying... it's not as "all okay" as it seems. Becky will post an offical update soon. Just keep praying for Christin... she will not be released today... that was misinformation."

I spoke at length with Melana, Christin's mom. Things are generally OK, but not all good.

The family was in a fairly new car, highly rated for safety, with lots of good safety features like air bags all around.

The kids are OK, but banged up and bruised and scared.

Brian is more banged up, had a severe concussion, but remained alert and aware, and will probably be discharged today.

Christin is in worse shape. It took them 20 minutes to cut her from the vehicle.

She has no broken bones or apparent internal injury, although her heart and lungs were badly bruised.

Her face is severely bruised, swollen, and cut up, especially around the right eye. She has a long cut through the tear duct and lash line. Her vision is expected to be fine, and they will plan for surgery to repair the damage around the eye once the swelling from her injuries subsides.

Her head took the worst of it. She is drifting in and out of consciousness, and in a lot of pain.
When she is awake, she knows who is with her, and responds to them.

However, she keeps asking the same questions, about how her family is, each time she is awake. Her short-term memory is not good right now. Apparently, that is normal for this type of injury. It may take a while before she is herself again. With time and care, though, she is expected to make a good recovery. "

Ok, through a mutual local friend I have heard that Christin and Brian are both in stable condition at the same hospital, and the kids have been released to her sister Kim and are at home. Apparently they were on their way home from a family event and had a three car collision involving a rollover (not sure if it was them that rolled). Christin is pretty banged up, but no broken bones for either of them. Neither remembers what happened or who was at fault or anything..."

"Just heard that they are expecting to be released today. Banged up but otherwise okay. Apparently they were life-flighted because they were in a rural area and needed to get to the hospital quickly..."

URGENT MESSAGE!!! CHRISTIN, HER HUSBAND, AND CHILDREN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN TERRIBLE ACCIDENT

This tragic news just in from Magicsmom on LCF:

"Urgent prayer needed!

Please pray if you are a praying person! Christin and her family have been in a serious car accident and have been air lifted to various hospitals. This is all on Becky's "Pitching My Tent" thread at Jimmy's. Please be in prayer about this situation.

ETA: Here is the exact message from Christin's Mom:

'this is chritins mom writing on my phone. c and her dh and children have been in a terrible car wreck. life fighted to different hospitals. kids and dh seem to be stable. c is still unconscious. please pray. if anyone can, please call deni and becky. I don't know if I can pm on my phone. thank you.'"


Christin, for those who may not know, was the cover girl on the Woman's World magazine, who not only lost a substantial amount of weight on the Kimkins starvation diet but also her health, suffering from heart arrhythmia, chest pains, and esophageal spasms, among other things, as a result of the Kimkins diet. Christin renounced the Kimkins diet and is now on a mission to warn everyone of its deadly effects.


Christin recently appeared on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, denouncing the deadly Kimkins diet and its founder, Heidi Diaz/Kimmer.

There's been a paucity of information coming from deep inside the Kimkins
website these days.....in fact, forthcoming information has ground to a screeching halt.

HEIDI DIAZ/THE KIMMER HITS ANOTHER STALL !!!

For those who are curious about Kimmer's "progress" (or lack thereof), you can see the front page of the Kimkins site here without actually going there and without raising her hit ranking.

BTW, she's apparently still stalled at 277 this week. No weight loss "reported" this week.

It's probably a good thing that they removed the weekly progressions from the front page. It really wouldn't do to have the poster girl so obviously struggling with the very plan that promises "turbo weight loss", now would it?" (BOLDING MINE)

A quick thought for anyone who drinks alcohol.

As delicious as a mai tai is on a hot summer day, rum, vodka or any distilled alcohol is technically a poison. During times of war, it's even used an emergency sterilizer for surgical tools!

A dangerous byproduct of alcohol metabolism is acetaldehyde. If there's too much acetaldehyde in your blood stream you die -- more commonly known as alcohol poisoning.

What does this mean to a dieter? Each alcoholic drink causes some damage to the liver. Fortunately, the liver can withstand a fair amount of abuse before it shuts down it's wondrous array of metabolic functions. But years of enjoying alcohol (or being obese) can result in a medical condition known as fatty liver. What this means is that the liver literally becomes congested with fat globules and can't do its job.

Your cholesterol levels will be very high because the liver can't metabolize fat.

What does the liver do? It has many functions including filtering everything we eat, drink or breathe. For a dieter, it's the furnace of the body. As body fat is burned, it's metabolized by the liver and expelled. However, for a liver congested with fat there's no room so to speak for the liver to do this vital work. It's pretty much as fruitless as trying to race your car to work while stuck in a traffic jam. Nothing's happening.

If you lose weight more slowly than you think you should and you've been a fan of alcohol for a number of years, you owe your liver a favor. Ask your doctor for liver function blood tests. Discuss the results and your alcohol consumption with him. Promise yourself to start a new path to health including losing extra body fat.

Your liver is your friend. Give it a break."

Heidi !!! Do you remember this blog post of yours? Perhaps you and the Cap'n might want to take a holiday away from one another. Might break that nasty stall you've got goin' on.

KIMMER LOVES TO ROCK THE RED !!!

Imagine my surprise last night when I checked out the Kimkins website for the last time in 2007, only to discover that Heidi Diaz/Kimmer has a new picture up!

Now, before you go to her site and raise her hit ranking on the web, which is not a good thing, above is her most recent weight-loss picture for your viewing pleasure.

This latest picture, where Heidi is wearing more makeup than a whore on a holiday (no disrespect to whores intended), I must say is a vast improvement over her badly photoshopped picture which appeared on her website on December 14, 2007:

What I find most amazing in viewing her latest picture is not only the amount of weight she alleges she has lost doing her own Kimkins starvation diet, but her penchant for the color red.

Let's take a look at some of her other red outfits...

First of all, the lovely Lesya, the woman from the Russian bride website whose picture Heidi Diaz/Kimmer scoffed to represent her "after" picture on the Kimkins website. Not a good choice, Heidi.

Then, we have Heidi at her deposition in the civil action:

And now a closer look at Heidi's new picture on her website:

You know, Heidi, every time I see another picture of you, I see RED.

How can you, in all good conscience, continue to lure unsuspecting people desperate to lose weight to your website in the hope that they will pay big bucks to you to learn how to literally starve themselves by following your deadly Kimkins diet? How?
