LOULOU'S STORY: CON MAN STEALS MORE THAN FAMILY'S MONEY IN PHONY ED TREATMENT CENTRE SCAM...

Not only was their money stolen, but their hopes shattered...

From Loulou:

"LOULOU TREATMENT SCAM

Kia ora, my name is LouLou. I had a blog called B00stF0rward.

I have had an eating disorder for 5 years, although I was in denial for the entirety of the past 5 years. I have gone from anorexia, to bulimia, to anorexia, to bulimia.

Three months ago I drove home to my parents’ house. I was stressed, I was coming down off drugs and I had finished my most recent freelance contract, which was working nights. I was tired and feeling really bad about myself.

My bulimia took hold in the most ferocious form it had ever been in.

I spent 8 weeks in a binge/purge cycle that started the moment I woke up and finished the moment I fell asleep, moaning from the pain and feeling sick from the sugar.

I decided I needed help. 8 weeks of treating my body this way was affecting every avenue of my life. My family, my relationships, my career, my body, my physical and mental health were all suffering. Considerably.

I had my first therapy session one Monday, I couldn’t leave the house to get to it. In fact, I hadn't left mum and dad’s house once since that first day I got there.

I realised when I had missed therapy that day that if I didn't go to my appointments I would never get better. So that was the day I started searching online about the world of recovery.

I was like a crack addict, addicted to the words I was reading. The hope filled my heart and I didn't stop searching recovery for days. I started a blog called B00stF0rward. This became my major outlet and form of support. Therapy is very effective, and meal plans and nutrition are incredibly key, but there is nothing more powerful than people who share your illness, supporting each other through recovery. The blogging community has played the biggest part in my recovery so far.

I knew I needed to get some residential treatment to help me move forward, as I was finding life incredibly difficult. I knew therapy was good but I felt like it was only a couple of hours out of the week and this was not enough.

I contacted a Treatment Clinic which deals with addictions, breakdowns and eating disorders.

The man there had suffered from an addiction himself, and he told me most of the staff had been through their fair share of problems before entering the health sector. The main counsellor had overcome an eating disorder herself.

The programme was 30 days and had about 6 hours of Therapy per day, one on ones, group therapy sessions and art therapy sessions. They complemented the therapy with yoga, taiji, massage, hypnotherapy and many other forms or alternative healing and bushwalks.

I finally decided to enter the programme, and Mum and Dad went to view the facilities and talk to M*** about the programme and how they could help me.

He showed them photos and information on the staff, the grounds, my bedroom and told them about the other clients who would be entering the same time as me, including another girl with an eating disorder. Mum and Dad were convinced this would be helpful for my recovery so we confirmed my place in the clinic, paid the deposit, and sat tight for a few weeks waiting for the day it was meant to begin. We bought all the things the welcome pack suggested, such as comfortable clothes for yoga, etc. I went through all my old memories, collecting journals and letters that I thought I should take with me to explore in therapy.

The day was coming close and M*** rang. He told us we would have to delay the programme by a week due to staff issues. That was fine. We decided a week wasn't long in the grand scheme of things.

A week later we set off in the car, packed and ready. Today was finally the day my treatment would begin. I was so ready. I was nervous. I was excited.

We drove up the long driveway and got out of the car. The place was closed completely, all doors were locked, and there was nobody to be seen. The rubbish bin was filled with beer bottles and shredded paperwork.

It turns out M*** was scamming us from the get-go.

He listened to my problems, he assured my desperate parents that they would be able to assist in my path to a better life.

He lied.

I had even given this bastard my blog to read.

I felt sick, I felt violated, I felt like all my hopes were shattered. Our family is devastated.
I hadn't been receiving any kind of therapy as I was waiting for the programme to begin. This guy ran away with 16,000 of my parents money, money they couldn't really afford to part with in the first place, money that was meant for treatment to help me. This happened 5 days ago.

I have had to change my blog’s URL and make it private. This is another reason I am writing here, because I love being a part of the blogging community, and I am so determined in recovery. I would love to invite readers with eating disorders to continue writing, reading and healing with me. Please e-mail amanda.brunning@gmail.com with the name of your blog, and I will invite you to my new one.

I am so determined in my path. I am a very positive person, and I have so much faith and hope.

My Recovery

I'm a loyal and caring friend, a loving but guilt-filled family member. I love reiki. I am notoriously unreliable. I never know where my money goes. I love Bob Marley and my beautiful soul sisters who make my heart sing. I also have an eating disorder, a tormenting voice who has constantly played mean tricks on me and really got in the way of my life. I am not here to talk about calories. I am here to get better. I am on a path to becoming a woman enjoying wellness and I have a lot of hope. HELL YEAH so follow and heal through writing.

I hope I can take my blog off private when this mess is over, when the guy is put in jail or exposed in the media. Nobody should get away with taking advantage of people when they are at their most vulnerable. I still have faith though, recovery is possible and I believe in myself.

Arohanui

Lou”

LouLou, I hope that piece of shite gets his just desserts...sooner rather than later.

My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.

NEWS FLASH! HEIDI DIAZ EXPOSED BY HER HOMETOWN PRESS

Heidi Diaz

Breaking news from The Press-Enterprise, Riverside, California:

"Corona woman's diet program given low marks

07:40 PM PST on Tuesday, December 30, 2008

By DOUGLAS QUAN
The Press-Enterprise

A Corona woman's Internet-based weight-loss program has been named the worst diet product of 2008 by a healthy-eating Web site.

In announcing winners of its 20th annual Slim Chance Awards, the Healthy Weight Network -- an online forum for health care professionals, researchers and consumers -- said the Kimkins low-fat, low-carb diet amounts to a "starvation diet" that deprives members of many nutrients.

"This weight obsession is causing so many problems," said network founder Francie Berg, a licensed nutritionist and adjunct professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.

Heidi Diaz aka Kimmer

Corona resident Heidi Diaz, founder of the Kimkins program, which charges members a fee to access the diet, could not be reached Tuesday by phone or e-mail.

A pending class-action lawsuit filed against Diaz claims that Diaz misled consumers with made-up success stories and pilfered images from a Russian dating Web site to depict as successful Kimkins dieters.

many faces of Heidi Diaz

Heidi Diaz on the left...the other pictures of her are fakes

Some Kimkins members have said that they suffered hair loss, heart palpitations, weakness, nausea, muscle fatigue, forgetfulness and abnormal menstrual cycles.

Court records show that Diaz dropped her lawyer this month and is representing herself.

Heidi Diaz at deposition

In an online message to Kimkins members posted a year ago, Diaz acknowledged that she had not lost 198 pounds in 11 months, as she had claimed on her site, but 100 pounds in six months. She also wrote that photos accompanying success stories were taken from another site.

"We wanted to show visitors the possibilities with Kimkins," she said.

Woman's World magazine featured the Kimkins diet program on its cover in June 2007 with the headline "Better than gastric bypass!" The magazine later apologized to readers for "having shared with you a story we can't stand behind."

Woman's World apology

As of Tuesday, the Kimkins Web site was still running, telling visitors that "many Kimkins members drop 5 percent or more of their total body weight in the first 10 days."

Members pay $79.90 to join the program.

A disclaimer tells visitors to contact their doctor before starting any diet.

Berg said people should focus less on losing weight and concentrate more on eating well, staying active and relieving stress.

Berg's Web site named as its worst gimmick of 2008 a brand of jeans that claims to release a cellulite-fighting medication when the jeans rub against the skin.

"Some of this is just ridiculous," Berg said.

Reach Douglas Quan at 951-368-9479 or dquan@PE.com"

And this is what was said about the Kimkins diet by The Healthy Weight Network in awarding Kimkins the 2008 Slim Chance Award:

"WORST PRODUCT: Kimkins diet. It must have seemed an easy way to get rich quick. Founder Heidi “Kimmer” Diaz set up a website and charged members a fee to access the Kimkins diet, boasting they could lose up to 5 percent of their body weight in 10 days. “Better than gastric bypass,” there was “no faster diet,” and in fact she herself had lost 198# in 11 months. Stunning “after” photos were displayed. In June 2007 Women's World ran it as a cover story, and that month alone PayPal records show the Kimkins site took in over $1.2 million. Then users began complaining of chest pains, hair loss, heart palpitations, irritability and menstrual irregularities. This was not surprising since Kimkins is essentially a starvation diet, down to 500 calories per day and deficient in many nutrients (appallingly, laxatives are advised to replace the missing fiber). In a lawsuit, 11 former members are uncovering a vast record of Diez’s alleged fraud. They found that the stunning “after” photos, including one of Kimmer herself, had been lifted from a Russian mail order bride site. According to a deposition reported by Los Angeles TV station KTLA, Diaz admitted using fake pictures, fake stories and fake IDs, and a judge has allowed the litigants to freeze some of her assets."

Way to go, Heidi! Nothing like making headlines in your own backyard. Didn't you say any publicity is good publicity? Want to take that back?

And for those who may not be aware, Heidi Diaz DID NOT lose 100 pounds in 6 months as she claimed in her "confession" on her website. Heidi Diaz (aka Kimmer) never lost one pound and remains morbidly obese, as can be seen in the above photographs.

THE DEADLY KIMKINS DIET: STARVATION IS NOT PRETTY...

Jan

This poor woman looks like death warmed over. "Jan" is the latest Kimkins diet "success story." Jan is on her way to an early death.

Note she has lost most of her hair, her skin is sallow, and her face is becoming skeletal.

It's beyond comprehension that people continue to follow the Kimkins starvation diet, ignoring all the evidence that the diet's founder, Heidi Diaz aka Kimmer, is a morbidly-obese admitted fraud and liar, who is being sued in civil court by former Kimkins members. And word is Federal charges are pending against her.

ROBERT CHARLTON, THE PI WHO CAPTURED HEIDI DIAZ ON FILM, IS HERE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS!

Photo of Heidi Diaz/Kimmer taken by Robert Charlton, PI

For those who were following the story of the deadly Kimkins diet and its founder Heidi Diaz aka Kimmer back in the fall of 2007, the day that the pictures and video of Heidi Diaz were released caused our jaws to collectively hit the floor.

Heidi, as captured on film by Robert Charlton, Private Investigator and owner of Alliance Investigative Services, was not the svelte woman she had led people to believe but a morbidly obese woman weighing over 300 pounds. Finally, there was the physical proof that Heidi Diaz/Kimmer was, indeed, a liar and a fraud.

Robert's photos and video were subsequently used by not only Chip Yost of KTLA but by The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet.

Although Robert was given credit by KTLA for a few seconds the first time their program aired, he was not given credit by KTLA in their follow-ups. And no credit was given to Robert by The Morning Show for their usage of his photos or video. So I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Robert for all his efforts in capturing Heidi Diaz on film.

I know you have questions you'd like to ask of Robert about his surveillance of Heidi Diaz and his capturing her on film. Please post your questions for Robert in the comment section of this blog post, and Robert will answer your questions there.

Kudos to Yust Yucky (Mimi) for this brilliant idea and for contacting Robert to arrange this Q & A. And many thanks to Robert for agreeing to participate.

Robert's waiting, so fire away :^)

COLD CASE FILE: THE CASE OF THE MYSTERIOUS KIMKINS WOMAN...CONTEST !!!

The "Patio Chair/Lawn Chair" fake Kimmer

One of the many fake "after" pictures that Heidi Diaz/Kimmer posted on her Kimkins.con website last year to depict her fraudulent weight loss continues to intrigue me. The picture has never been found and/or the woman identified.

Many posters on the Fascination with Kimmer (FWK) thread on Low Carb Friends searched for the picture but never found it.

So I have decided to have a contest in an attempt to quench my insatiable curiosity.

CONTEST DETAILS

The person who is able to find the original picture of the mystery woman and provide me with a link or tear-sheet of it in its original form, will win a $25.00 gift certificate from Amazon.com.

So all you super sleuths, start digging :^)

And for those of you who are unfamiliar with the many fraudulent pictures Heidi Diaz/Kimmer used to depict her non-existent weight loss, here is a copy of my post from January of this year:

THE AMAZING FATIFICATION-THINIFICATION CYCLE OF HEIDI DIAZ aka KIMMER...IN PICTURES !!!

WARNING: FOR THOSE WHO ARE CURRENTLY IN THE THROES OF SNATT*, VIEWING THESE PICTURES MAY CAUSE YOU TO INVOLUNTARILY SPEW...

*SNATT: "Slightly/Semi-Nauseous All The Time (a Kimkins-ism," and a "good thing," according to Heidi Diaz, but not in the Martha Stewart kinda way)

As a result of the airing of ABC’s Good Morning America show yesterday featuring the Kimkins diet scam and the fraudulent, Heidi Diaz aka Kimmer, many of you are searching madly off in all directions for the fake pictures of the scammer Heidi Diaz...and not only her own fake before-and-after pics but those of her fake Kimkins success stories.

Heidi has gone through many transformations using fake "before and after pictures," which she posted on her Kimkins website to show her amazing weight loss, the most famous fake picture of all being of Lesya, whose picture Heidi photonapped from a Russian bride site.

As well as her own fake pictures, Heidi photonapped pictures of other Russian brides to depict fraudulent weight-loss success stories on her Kimkins website.

Below are photos depicting Heidi’s amazing fatification-thinification-fatification journey from the past to the present:

A PLEA TO NEW KIMKINS COVERGIRL, PATTI...(UPDATED)

Patti, I'm going to make this short and sweet.

By appearing on the main page of Kimkins as a "covergirl" for Kimmer/Heidi Diaz, an admitted liar and fraud, you are endorsing the deadly Kimkins starvation diet.

Photo of Heidi Diaz/Kimmer, in Nov. 2007 (at her deposition in the civil class-action lawsuit) confirming she had lied, once again, about losing any weight on her own deadly Kimkins starvation diet

Patti, I am asking that you read the following posts & watch the videos, and after doing same, reconsider allowing Kimmer to keep your picture on her website:

INSIDER EXCLUSIVE VIDEO ON THE KIMKINS DIET:

FOX-TV’s Morning Show with Mike and Juliet:

KVUE--Beware of Internet Diet Scam

UPDATE:
Patti, theTRUTH left a message for you in the comment section of this post. I have copied it here just in case you miss it:

"theTRUTH said...

Yes, Patti, please reconsider your public endorsement of this fraud. She is using your success as free advertising to further that fraud. You have the right to eat however you want to. It is your health and your body. However, allowing Heidi to use your images and personal story to make more money from more unsuspecting, desperate dieters who don't know the history and lies of Heidi (as you must), crosses the line of innocent victim of a scam artist, and ventures into the realm of enabler or even accomplice. The lawsuit is very real, and there are huge numbers of real people who have been and continue to be taken by this scam artist.

One more note. I saw in your bio that you lost a great deal using Atkins (a safe, sensible, controlled carb way of eating) but had problems keeping it off. You may want to reserve your public endorsement of kimkins until after you have had a chance to see if you can maintain the kimkins losses without developing a long term eating disorder. If you are eating the calorie levels suggested by Heidi's plan, your metabolism is likely damaged and you will find maintenance nearly impossible, and suffer who knows what other kinds of health problems. Others have been down this path before you, and it isn't pretty. Medusa is giving you a chance here to reach out and do some research before it is too late. Take that opportunity, for your own sake. You do not want to be associated with this woman.

PASTAQUEEN DISHES...

Jennette Fulda (PastaQueen) after

Jennette Fulda before

Half-Assed author PastaQueen talks about her new book, weight loss, fat pants, and gas mileage

"Diet blogger and former CalorieLab guest blogger Jennette Fulda (”PastaQueen”) book based on her blog “Half of Me” was released on May 1. CalorieLab spoke with Jennette about her book and other topics.

CalorieLab: What is your book about?

PastaQueen: Half-Assed: A Weight-Loss Memoir is the story of how I lost half my weight without losing my sense of humor. Hopefully you’ll only put it down because it will make you want to get up and exercise. If not, at least all the laughing you’ll do is good cardio. It’s not a diet book. There are plenty of books that will tell you what to eat and how to exercise. Mine is about what it was like to lose almost 200 pounds and how the journey changed me.

CL: Have you struggled with your weight your whole life?

PQ: I can’t remember a time when I didn’t consider myself fat. In 5th grade I filled out a survey for school and answered the question, “What is one thing you’d like to change about yourself?” with the response, “I’d be thinner.” I gradually kept putting on weight from elementary school through college, occasionally losing some weight by taking up walking.

CL: What was your highest weight?

PQ: 372 was the highest number I ever saw on the scale.

CL: What made you decide to lose weight for real? How did you go about doing it?

PQ: I had to have my gallbladder removed when I was 23. After that I vowed to lose weight, and then I didn’t. For the year following that, my younger brother actually did lose 60 pounds, which inspired me to try it too.

CL: How did you go about doing it?

PQ: When January rolled around, I started a diet and exercise routine. I also blogged about it at pastaqueen.com, which helped keep me accountable. These days I weigh between 180-185 pounds.

CL: Are you basically on the South Beach Diet?

PQ: I haven’t read the book in awhile, but I think I still follow most of the guidelines. When I eat carbs, I try to eat healthier carbs like fruits and whole grains. I stay away from trans-fats and saturated fats. I eat lean meats. And I still indulge now and then, like eating ice cream on my birthday.

CL: Is it relatively easy to live in the real world and follow that diet?

PQ: No matter what your diet, it’s pretty hard to live in the modern world and stay on track. The break rooms of America are filled with donuts and cookies, not baby carrots and celery sticks.

CL: Did you ever consider bariatric surgery?

PQ: If I hadn’t been able to lose the weight through diet and exercise I would have seriously considered bariatric surgery. I know many people consider it the “easy” way out, but when you read about all the complications and difficulties that come with the surgery, none of it sounds easy to me. If losing weight and keeping it off without medical intervention were easy, more people would be doing it. At this time, weight loss surgery is the most reliable way to induce weight loss in the morbidly obese.

CL: So you see a place for bariatric surgery?

PQ: Well, hopefully in the future there will be treatments that are less drastic. Until then, I consider bariatric surgery to be a procedure that has saved many lives, but hopefully a last resort after someone has given serious effort to losing weight through diet and exercise. I think everyone has to determine what is best for their health in coordination with their doctor.

CL: You recently stopped reporting your weight as often as before. Low carb diet blogger
Jimmy Moore stopped reporting his weight for a while, and the next thing we heard he had gained back a chunk of weight and was briefly on the notorious Kimkins diet.

PQ: There is certainly pressure to keep the weight off, but that’s not the reason I changed the weigh-in schedule. I used to weigh in on the blog once a week, but now I just do it once a month. I still weigh myself every day to hold myself personally accountable for my weight. I changed the public schedule because I’ve basically been maintaining my weight for the past year. I might lose two pounds one week and then gain a pound the next, then lose a pound again. Reporting on that was boring! It was much more interesting when I had a lot of weight to lose and the numbers kept changing. After a while I felt like a weatherman standing in a snowstorm who had to keep reporting, “Yeah, it’s still snowing.” Instead I was saying, “Yeah, my weight is still around 180.” I didn’t have anything new to say about it, so it was getting rather tedious to talk about it every week. However, I don’t want to gain back the weight I’ve lost, so I do still weigh in, just not as frequently."

OUR MAN IN HIDING: GARY FONTAINE of KIMKINS

Well, the LCF mods are at it again on the Fascination thread...deleting and chopping posts.

The latest flurry of post cleansing is continuing as a result of uber-sleuth thetruthinhiding (TTIH) posting information about Gary Fontaine, one of Kimmer's lackeys at Kimkins.con. Gary has earned a rather sordid reputation for, among other things, leaving obnoxious, nasty, and offensive comments on AmyB's blog.

thetruthinhiding's beautiful avatar

On April 21, 2008, TTIH posted this in response to a post of HoneyBee2's:

"Quote:

va te faire foutre lol

va te faire foutre

It is a French expletive of “go .... yourself”
and of course lol
Meaning to "laugh out loud."

Their comments on your blog all make since now.....I wonder who it could be?!?!? "

That is Gary. lasttime4me, Admin at KK."

LINK:

Well, with that bombshell from TTIH comes his/her next post on 04-22-2008, 08:17 AM:

"Quote:

Call it an educated guess. But I is very edumacated.

We have Gary's phone number if anyone wants to ask him if it was him."

So AmyB takes up TTIH's offer, calls Gary, and has yet to receive a response from him. To think that a grown man would make such offensive and hateful remarks about AmyB and her son, Philip, is truly mind-boggling.

Now the story takes a twist...literally. LCF mods get their knickers in a twist and start deleting Gary's info as posted by TTIH.

Next comes an edict from Cheri, one of the LCF mods, which TTIH has quoted in the following post:

"Quote:

It just came to my attention that Gary's last name was also edited out. I have to inquire why? I understand swalt, but Gary WORKS for Heidi as a paid admin. I didn't post his home address or phone number or anything. We can say Heidi Diaz, but we can't say Gary Fontaine? How about Delaney Deaver? These are paid minions of Heidi and as such have no right to privacy protection by LCF. Yes, I know Gary contacted LCF and threatened police action, but if we start falling victim to intimidation, what good are we? I'll wait patiently to see what happens to this post before I decide my next course of action. It is a shame because I really enjoy conversing with the good folks here, but if I can't say Fontaine, I'll take it elsewhere. Shame!

ETA: The info I posted was researched via publically available (or semi-publically available to anyone in Kimkins). There was no reason to censor it. You would have us allow Heidi's paid minions to hide behind a cloak of LCF? What about the tag put on LittleSina outing her as Singinglass? Is it ok, as long as an admininstrator does it? Let's have an open discussion about this here. Disappearing posts in what happens inside Kimkins.

And then TOM RODDY, owner of Netrition and Grand Poobah of LCF, replies to TTIH:

"We will take your word for now that Gary is a paid Kimkins administrator.

I am not aware of any threatened police action or legal action to LCF by Gary or anyone else from Kimkins.

In general, we don't want this site being used to aid in the harassment or slandering of other people or businesses. There will be many judgment calls made by admins in what not to allow - and we ask for your patience and understanding since we often don't have complete information but plenty of complaints from both sides.

We occasionally read this thread and some of the blogs, but please understand that the admins are not able to keep up with everything that is going on in this or all the other topics discussed on this board. We ask for your help in bringing our attention to areas that need to be addressed.

We do not claim to offer full freedom of speech here, but we attempt to be fair in permitting discussions according to our Terms of Service. If there are topics that you would like to discuss that are not appropriate for this board, feel free to take it to your own personal blog or another message board.
04-28-2008, 12:05 PM "

And then TTIH responds to Tom:

"Thanks Tom. I understand that full freedom of speech cannot be offered here, and nor do most of us expect it. There are a growing number of disgruntled folks who do disagree with where the lines are drawn and how inconsistently they seem to be drawn. Thanks for the open/honest response.

ETA:
Well, I got what I consider to be a decent reply from Tom, and then, just now I get an infraction in my PM for the same exact post. Oh well. Not supposed to mention that here.
04-28-2008, 12:09 PM "

Sorry to hear you received another infraction, TTIH. Once those start piling up, you'll be added to the ban roster at LCF, so watch your back.

Now, let's get back to Heidi's bag man, Gary Fontaine. For those who are unfamiliar with Gary, here again is his photograph which has been posted all over the internet, so please spare me whining e-mails that I got it from inside KK...I didn't:

And for those who feel compelled to get to know him better, the following should provide you with enough information to do so:

LINK to Gary's PUBLIC information on the internet:

And be sure to read Mariasol's excellent post on Gary Fontaine here. It's a thing of beauty:

AS THE WORM TURNS...

I was sitting on my veranda this morning, enjoying the sunshine, when my mind inexplicably wandered to thoughts of Heidi’s recent disingenuous attempts to make her starvation diet appear slightly more palatable and less nutritionally bankrupt to the few remaining resolute Kimmerphiles who continue to drink the kool-aid a la Jonestown.

Remembering Heidi’s previous stringent rebukes to KKers who, for example, asked if they could add 1 tsp. of sour cream to their diet, I thought I would take a trip down memory lane and look at some old gems of Heidi's. Hopefully, they won't ruin your day...

"I've lost weight many times in my life."

"I've been at goal for nearly 6 years and my old 318-pound life seems like eons ago!"

"As my 40th birthday approached I had a talk with myself, 'Kimmer, this is getting ridiculous. Lose a little, gain it back, lose a lot, gain it back. You need to either do it once and for all, or give it up and accept your size 26 life.'"

"Slowly I sat myself down on the couch and knew this was it. No more excuses. What had I let happen to myself? How in denial can a person be? "

"Yes, 160 pounds lost in 7 months and 200 pounds in just under 1 year. It's totally possible!"

"The weight losses that Kimkins member post are just as impressive (in some cases, more so!) I lost 17 lbs the first 10 days, which is typical for me and Kimkins, after that roughly 4-6 lbs a week. No sweat."

"I find it hard to believe that some people consider a “stall” to be no weight loss for 4 weeks! Yikes! After just 4 days I'd be demanding a Congressional investigation! There is absolutely no reason, none, to "stall" unless you want to."

"I have always lost weight quickly."

'I accept all compliments from handsome men! Losing 200 lbs has literally been like freeing an albatross from around my neck. I was so desperately unhappy. Despite lying to myself that my size didn't matter, and although I was blessed with good health despite 300+ pounds, I knew I was harming my body."

"Now, a slim size 4, I look back and wonder what took me so long to get serious? I now fit into theater seats without even touching the arms! Seat belts aren't anxiety provoking. My confidence has soared! No longer do I fear developing diabetes."

"But probably the most blessed part of being thin and healthy is the pride my children have in me. No longer do I wonder whether they might be embarrassed by their 318-pound mom at school events or the mall. It almost seems as though they show me off!"

"First, I removed all of the instant “pop in your mouth” junk and stuck whatever else in the freezer. Second, as I dropped my pounds my “too big” clothes were donated to the homeless shelter where I volunteer. Third, I needed a reminder the first few days so I placed masking tape in a large X across my bedroom doorway so as I woke in the morning I'd automatically remember I was on a mission to lose 200 pounds!"

"I don't ever want to regain my weight. As a reminder, I hung onto a pair of size 26 jeans which I keep hanging in a corner of my closet. I bring them out once a week and try them on. Once again, I can't believe I was ever that big! What was I thinking?"

"No one knows better than I how miserable it is to be obese."

"Not everyone gets from A-Z in the weight loss game the first try. Or the second."

"Frankly, when I see the tight knit family our Kimkins members have built for each other, I almost wish I was starting my weight loss journey all over again. Almost."

"OK fellow fasters, today is the day! Last night I taped my bedroom doorway with a piece of thin masking tape, so I'd walk through it this morning and it would remind me today is the start of my 30 day water fast (I'm a creature of habit and would have gone right to the fridge for a glass of diet 7-Up or Cystal Light otherwise, LOL ) This morning I weighed 136."

"I started at 318...and then my final weight now is between 118-122 or just in between there. And it did take 11 months. And that includes losing 11 lbs the first day, I’m a water sponge, I retain water like no one you’ve ever met."

Jimmy Moore: "So how long has it been since you’ve kept the weight off?"
Heidi Diaz: "It’s been five, five and a half years."
Jimmy Moore: "So a little more than five years, you’ve maintained right around that 118-122 mark."
Heidi Diaz: "Yeah. Yeah."

"Kimkins is a combination of the original 1972 Atkins, a little bit of Stillman’s, plus my own tweaks, with a lower calorie emphasis."

Jimmy Moore: "Well um, just to make it real clear, about how many calories do you think that is?"
Heidi Diaz: "When I checked it seemed to be between 1400 and 1700 a day (J: OK) which is, which is perfect for me...my carbs seem to be 80 to 100ish, sometimes I go over..."
Jimmy Moore: "Is the Kimkins diet safe to do over the long term, now you’ve been eating this way what, six or seven years now, and you seem to be doing well –"
Heidi Diaz: I haven’t died yet – "

"I also turn teenagers away...we have teenagers on site, but teenagers as I know first hand, tend to be extreme."

"Don’t panic about low calories."

"As long as you have sufficient body fat you don’t need to eat calories."

"As you lose weight, your body will need fewer calories."

"Your calories were a bit high at 1350′ish."

"If I am already deep in to kimkins (on week 3) and losing about a pound a day on 500-700 calories."

"Eating beef for the first time can cause a temporary “scale” stall."

"For me it was Captain Morgan & Wild Cherry Pepsi … and not just one."

"The bottom line for the Domino Effect is that when your carbs are cut to the bone and you FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCT and not eat when you’re not hungry … calories get very low and you lose like crazy! "

"I knew my calories would drop like a rock once my appetite was gone, but low calories alone aren’t enough. It has to be very, very low carb low calories. "

"Consider countries where food is scarce and citizens very thin. Why aren’t their bodies holding onto fat? Isn’t that supposed to be what happens? Remember holocaust victims who survived on very, very little. Both examples lost weight quickly on very low calories."

"Well 24 lbs in 2.5 weeks is excellent by any standards! What are you eating at 300-500 calories? Your carbs must be around 4-6 per day?The most common “domino interruption” cause is adding a food."

~~~~~~~~~~
Heidi, looking at your most recent picture above, I see that your KK diet isn't working too well for you.
Have you tried Atkins? You might want to give it a whirl before the hoedown in Las Vegas.
BTW, I'll be joining you and your fellow KKers there! I adore Las Vegas. Maybe you can give me some pointers on craps...because you're such an expert on crap.
Some of the above quotations were taken from a blog post by my fellow blogger, MJR. Please take a moment to read her wonderful blog post here:
A JURY ACQUITS ITSELF WELL...
A defendant was on trial for murder. There was strong evidence indicating guilt, but there was no corpse.
In the defence's closing statement, the lawyer, knowing that his client would probably be convicted, resorted to chicanery.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I have a surprise for you all," the lawyer said as he looked at his watch. "Within one minute, the person presumed dead in this case will walk into this courtroom."
He looked toward the courtroom door. The jurors, somewhat stunned, all looked on eagerly. A minute passed. Nothing happened.
Finally the lawyer said, "Actually, I made up the previous statement. But you all looked on with anticipation. I, therefore, put it to you that you have a reasonable doubt in this case as to whether anyone was killed, and I insist that you return a verdict of not guilty."
The jury, clearly confused, retired to deliberate. A few minutes later, the jury returned and pronounced a verdict of guilty.
"But how?" inquired the lawyer. "You must have had some doubt; I saw all of you stare at the door."
The jury foreman replied, "Yes, we did look, but your client didn't."
~~~~~~~~~~

Wonder if that defence lawyer said the same thing that Heidi Diaz said at her deposition:

"Is it too late to take that back?" :^)

SINGINGLASS...YOU'VE GOT SOME COMPETITION, HONEY!

SingingLass, you are such a piece of work. Did ya get lots of hits on your page yesterday? Any complaints about bleeding eardrums?

If I were you, which thankfully I'm not, I'd be singing like a canary to John Tiedt. Keeping mum about Heidi Diaz/Kimmer is only going to have you singing the blues when you hear the Judge's decision in the civil action. Time for a reality check, SL

And in case you missed it, Mariasol and Grilled Cheese have written some wonderful posts about your recent antics. Take a look:

THE CIA'S GOT NOTHING ON THE DUCKS...

Colour me confuzzled. I've been reading the comments on Yucky's "Apology" blog post and I've gotta tell you, the CIA has nothing on the Ducks.

What's with all these elite, super-secret sub-sub-sub sleuthing sub-groups?

We've got Ducky loops, Ducky groups, Ducky soups, Ducky leaks, Ducky up the ying yang. WTH???

The CIA doesn't have that many freakin' super-sleuth sub-sub-sub groups. You'd think the Ducks were trying to catch Eliot Spitzer in flagrante delicto.

A word to the wise: Too many cooks spoil the duck soup :^)

CHICKEN LADY ! BONNIE LUPER ! IS THAT ANY WAY TO TREAT A LADY ?

Oops...wrong picture. Here's Bonnie Luper...

Bonnie, what kind of scam are you trying to pull off? I just read Yucky's blog post (see below) and I'm pissed.

wake up, little Suzy

First of all, you (or someone you know) put up that idiotic, misogynistic mcd.net site. I don't know what's worse...the old mcd.net or the new, spew-inducing mcd.net.

Then you give mcd.com a facelift and disappear.

So what gives with you ignoring Suzy? I'd say that's pretty bloody cheeky on your part, given that you lightened her wallet to the tune of $69.95.

I think it's about time you pecked and scratched your way out of the coop and answered some questions about this canned-chicken diet of yours.

And I have another question for you. I want to know where all your excess skin disappeared after you lost 160 pounds in 10 months. Did you really lose your weight swallowing cans of Costco chicken or did you, in fact, have weight-loss surgery (WLS) and a few major tucks?

The reason I'm asking about WLS is that I came across a story of Katie Broomall who lost 140 pounds and this is what her belly looked like pre-op:

Katie Broomall lost 140 pounds, but that didn't solve all her weight problems -- she still had about 20 pounds of excess skin that was slowing her down.

Katie's story and before-and-after pics are here:

http://www.local6.com/health/5010936/detail.html

So, Bonnie, did you have gastric bypass surgery? Just curious, that's all.

And if you're talking to Hulon, tell him I miss him. Ask him to drop by and leave me a comment. Ta.

Hoping to hear from you Bonnie with some answers to my questions. I think it's about time you fessed up so we can all put this chicken nonsense to rest.

And for all of you who love Kids in the Hall, here's a link to one of my favorite Chicken Lady routines:
