WHY THE MAGIC CHICKEN DIET DIED...

(Click screenshot to enlarge)

(Click screenshot to enlarge)

Bonnie Luper, Founder of the Magic Chicken Diet

Well, from all appearances, the only people barely sustaining life on the Magic Chicken Diet are Bonnie and her sock puppets. The forum is dead as a doornail and Bonnie is MIA, as usual.

I'd wager the reason for its failure to catch the dieting world by storm is the main staple of the diet: chicken...and canned chicken, to boot.

Now, canned chicken tops my list as one of the most disgusting things imaginable. It's right up there with tripe, tongue, and sweetbreads.

For those who do enjoy a hearty lunch of canned chicken, I thought you might be interested in this little news item.

A question was asked by Toronto's Kirsten Thompson in the Globe and Mail this past week regarding "mechanically de-boned chicken."

Here is John Matthewson's response:

Mechanically de-boned chicken, he writes, is where "the meat is not cut off the bone using the traditional methods. Think of it as a horizontal hydraulic press. In the case of mechanically de-boned chicken, the raw material, usually the backs and necks," is compressed by two powerful pistons in a cylinder that contains many small holes.

"The soft material, which is the meat, is extruded through the holes, collected and used in food products while the compressed bone is dropped out of the bottom of the machine and rendered."

Now, how gross is that? No wonder Bonnie's finding it difficult to whip up enthusiasm for her "magic" canned chicken diet.

If you look at the screen shots above taken today of the Magic Chicken website, you'll see there are still red "x"s where the pictures of her members' "Success Stories" should be. Who are her success stories? Why are they so reticient in allowing their pictures to be posted on her site? I'm willing to wager there are no success stories, ergo no pictures.

And, Bonnie, I'm still waiting for an answer as to what happened to all of your excess skin. If you had plastic surgery, which I highly suspect (not that there's anything wrong with that), at least be truthful about it. And what about the rumour circulating that you had gastric bypass surgery? So many questions, and no forthcoming answers.

My previously-posted questions to Bonnie can be found here:

Hope to hear from you, Bonnie, so we can finally put this mechanically de-boned magic chicken to rest. RIP

CHICKEN LADY ! BONNIE LUPER ! IS THAT ANY WAY TO TREAT A LADY ?

Oops...wrong picture. Here's Bonnie Luper...

Bonnie, what kind of scam are you trying to pull off? I just read Yucky's blog post (see below) and I'm pissed.

wake up, little Suzy

First of all, you (or someone you know) put up that idiotic, misogynistic mcd.net site. I don't know what's worse...the old mcd.net or the new, spew-inducing mcd.net.

Then you give mcd.com a facelift and disappear.

So what gives with you ignoring Suzy? I'd say that's pretty bloody cheeky on your part, given that you lightened her wallet to the tune of $69.95.

I think it's about time you pecked and scratched your way out of the coop and answered some questions about this canned-chicken diet of yours.

And I have another question for you. I want to know where all your excess skin disappeared after you lost 160 pounds in 10 months. Did you really lose your weight swallowing cans of Costco chicken or did you, in fact, have weight-loss surgery (WLS) and a few major tucks?

The reason I'm asking about WLS is that I came across a story of Katie Broomall who lost 140 pounds and this is what her belly looked like pre-op:

Katie Broomall lost 140 pounds, but that didn't solve all her weight problems -- she still had about 20 pounds of excess skin that was slowing her down.

Katie's story and before-and-after pics are here:

http://www.local6.com/health/5010936/detail.html

So, Bonnie, did you have gastric bypass surgery? Just curious, that's all.

And if you're talking to Hulon, tell him I miss him. Ask him to drop by and leave me a comment. Ta.

Hoping to hear from you Bonnie with some answers to my questions. I think it's about time you fessed up so we can all put this chicken nonsense to rest.

And for all of you who love Kids in the Hall, here's a link to one of my favorite Chicken Lady routines:

Jimmy Moore aka Low Carb Man

MJR has a most interesting post on her blog today regarding some very cryptic comments which appeared on Mariasol's blog.

Could this be an example of Six Degrees of Separation?

Take a gander at MJR's post: More Cryptic Messages

WELL, WELL, WELL...THE CHICKENS HAVE COME HOME TO ROOST [Updated Again !!!]

Mariasol has the most interesting post on her blog today. Game of Chicken is an absolute must-read. It's simply brilliant.

As I was looking at the comments on Mariasol's post, I came across these very interesting observations from the great wordsmith and physics scholar Yucky and the very clever Prudentia.

"Yucky said...

If Train A leaves Station B traveling east and Becky's intimate knowledge of the Magic Chicken Diet arrives on the 14th of December but everybody else's intimate knowledge of the Magic Chicken Diet doesn't arrive until the 17th of December, what is the resulting force (F) of the mass of bullshit (Mbs) times the velocity of coverup (vC) upon impact with the truth (t)?

I wish I had your way with words, Yucky! LOL

Sooooo...there IS a fox in the henhouse. How delightful!

If I were Becky, I'd be taking Train A out of Dodge, pronto...

UPDATE # 1 :

Mariasol has received another very curious comment on her blog post...

"Anonymous said...

Is this Becky also Regandy? Or is there another Becky who snarled at the Ducks, blaming them for MCD woes? As it turned out, neither we nor Heidi had much to do with their demise - unpaid bills. Nor have we had much to do with their resurrection. But we are confoozled by the veiled animosity of the dot net guy towards certain blogs, skinny wives, and working women. Isn't it funny how even Kimkins spinoffs end up planting themselves in front of ducky microscopes?

"mariasol said...

anonymous - This Becky is littlebit. A lot of Becky's in this drama, as well as Amy's LOL.

Confoozled is a good description. Why has there been no public statement by the "true" MCD people?

UPDATE # 2:

And another very curious comment on her blog post...

"the other shoe said...

One. Name that tune: "They will not rest, apparently, until Tippy's site and this lady's site and anyplace else current Kimkins members might really fell warmly welcomed is gone."

Two. Name that step.

Three. Name that set which consists of those sets b, bb, hb, jbb, jmb.

KIMKINS & MCD: WHAT'S WITH ALL THESE SUBSERVIENT CHICKENS???

On the Internet landscape has arrived a most bizarre website, magicchicken.net, and on Friday I did a blog post about its full-blown craziness...CHICKEN LADY FOWLED BY ONE CRAZY CHICKEN !!!

But...is there a method to its seeming madness? Is it a clever offshoot of viral marketing?

I'm sure a lot of you will remember Crispin Porter’s Subservient Chicken viral campaign for Burger King. It was one of the most famous examples of viral marketing in action on the Internet.

Here are portions taken from an article written by Mae Anderson in March 2005 entitled Dissecting Subservient Chicken:

"NEW YORK On April 8 of last year, something odd emerged on the Web: a chicken dressed in garters that could do seemingly any command viewers requested. After being seeded into several Internet chat rooms, the "Subservient Chicken" instantly struck a nerve with bloggers, in part because the site's technology allowed users to type in nearly anything and get a response from the chicken. He could do jumping jacks, dance, do push-ups and even watch television. He seemed impossible to stump. Within a day after being released, the site had a million hits. Within a week, it had received 20 million hits. Who was behind this strange Web phenomenon? Many visitors to the site were surprised to see it was Burger King."

So, is this bizarre mcd.net website driving people to the actual magicchickenwebsite? I sincerely hope not.

Many have speculated that one of the Lupers is the author of the magicchickendiet.net site. If that is, in fact, proven to be true, there's a whole lot of craziness going on in that family.

If you take a look at Mariasol's post Magically Crazy Chicken , you'll see that the Magic Chicken Diet and the deadly Kimkins starvation diet are kissing cousins, borne of the same mind-boggling VLCD (very low calorie diet) craziness.

Mariasol has broken down the daily rations on the Magic Chicken diet and posted a picture of what those rations look like. Warning: Not for the faint of heart or squeamish.

And the always funny, Elle, has a great blog post on her blog, Grilled Cheese Sandwich With Pickles, about the Magic Chicken Diet: The Chicken Flies at Midnight!

Both posts are must-reads.

So, what do you think? Is mcd.net a brilliant marketing ploy to drive traffic to the MCD diet website, or is the mcd.net site simply the ravings of a lunatic?

And for a little fun this Sunday night, check this out:

The Subservient Chicken (from Snopes)...

"Visitors to the website will find a person in a chicken suit, standing in the middle of what looks to be a somewhat ragged-looking living room. Beneath the chicken is a box to type in your request for the chicken, along with the slogan "Get chicken the way you want it. Type in your command here."

Input a suggestion into the box, and then wait to see if the chicken (or person in a chicken suit) will cooperate. Start off by typing "riverdance" or "throw pillows" and then let your imagination run wild. There are a lot of things the chicken won't do (and that is probably a good thing), but SubservientChicken.com is a fun distraction.

The garter-clad subservient chicken can be prompted to do one's bidding in response to a variety of keywords. The chicken has a repetoire of about 300 different actions..."

CHICKEN LADY FOWLED BY ONE CRAZY CHICKEN !!!

Well, the past 24 hours have been quite interesting. It appears that myself, Yucky, and Mariasol have drawn the attention of some lunatic posting at magicchickendiet.net.

Here's the most recent craziness:

"Remember all the help and advice from old lady yucky lowcarbfriends mariasol medusa They love and care for you and you know their words of wisdom is for your own good. Please, please, please listen up NOW and take their advice. These 4 groups may live in out-house but when they come to visit you they will be in house. Please Bonnie, listen to these people as it really is for your own good."

One thing that's also really bothersome is this crazy has posted some personal pictures of Chicken Lady that were taken some time ago, before she lost the weight.

These ravings have all the hallmarks of Heidi on a bender with the Cap'n. Is this a diversionary tactic? Is someone feeling the heat? So many questions, so little time.

Who do you think is the author of this insanity...and why?

PS...if you visit the crazy chicken site, don't click on any of the advertised links on the top or left-hand side of the site. Those clicks will just put money in the pocket of the lunatic.

Oh...I almost forgot. If you'd like to see a copy of the Magic Chicken Diet, please drop me an e-mail. I'd be delighted to send it to you.

THE MAGIC CHICKEN DIET MAY NOT BE JUST ANOTHER FLASH IN THE PAN...(with a DELICIOUS UPDATE !!!)

Bloggers, YustYucky and the boys at Kimkins Exhausted, Mariasol, and HoneyBee have done some excellent digging and comprehensive analyses of their findings in their investigation of the Magic Chicken Diet and its founder, Bonnie Luper (aka Chicken Lady).

As the digging gets deeper, more and more delicious details are being exposed.

And now, in the past few days, the Ducky detectives at LCF have joined in the search for the truth, after being initially derailed by some slammers, and have come up with some very interesting and creative scenarios re the plausible connection between Kimkins and the Magic Chicken Diet, as well as the possible relationship between Kimmer/Heidi Diaz and Bonnie Luper and her husband, David Luper.

If you haven't seen a copy of the Chicken Lady's menu, Kimkins Exhausted (YustYucky) has it, so click here:

Mariasol did a great analysis of the Magic Chicken Diet here:

And HoneyBee has a great blog post on the Magic Chicken Diet:

And here, the LCF Detectives re-delve into the case of the Magic Chicken Diet (discussions start to heat up here and on the following pages of the Fascination thread):

Keep digging my friends. There may be a big golden egg at the end of the rainbow.

And Hulon Pate (Chicken Lady's son-in-law), if you read this, please leave a comment. I do so enjoy reading your posts. Ta.

AND NOW FOR THE DELICIOUS UPDATE:

It turns out that my main man, uber wordsmith, Hulon Pate, is NOT the son-in-law of Chicken Lady! Hulon, I'm SO disappointed in you.

I'm thinkin' that Hulon is Heidi, in drag. Yeah, I like that theory. I'm gonna stick with that one.

CHICKEN LADY LOSES HER MAGIC...DIET SITE GOES POOF !!! WHY? ASK HEIDI DIAZ !!! (UPDATED WITH A NEW PHOTO!)

(Chicken Lady photo courtesy of Kids In The Hall.......see link below to view the Chicken Lady video!)

A bit of background:
Bonnie Luper (aka Chicken Lady) started the Magic Chicken Diet website after losing a lot of weight by eating chicken 24/7.
Suddenly, the Magic Chicken Diet website disappeared yesterday. Guess the chicken lost its magic.

Now...here's a picture of Hulon Pate from one of his MySpace pages:

In a comment posted on Jimmy Moore's blog (see link below), Hulon, who purports to be Chicken Lady's son-in-law, explains who shut down the Magic Chicken website (Warning: it appears that Hulon is not fluent in English, so bear with him):

Hulon said...

"My inlaws own and maintain a web site started earlier this year www.magicchickendiet.com . My mother inlaw, Bonnie Luper who lost a 165 in ten months.

By her own design, she invented a diest plan that worked. Her goal was to start a web site to help other people with a weightloss program that wasnt just, lossing a few pounds.

Her web site was taken offline by godaddy.com under pressure, from a complaint from kimkins.com, stateing that there were too many, simularities to there web site. The letter from Kimkins.com stated that there forum, has simularities and other ideas.

My thinking is most buisness via web site in simular fields all will have simularideas, as far as being a diet program how could diet program not be simuluar,in all aspects.

It all started, when "yuckyyuck" posted a email to there website stateing something abouta possible lawsuit to magicchickendiet.com. Now this yuckyyuck guy, has done nothing but post on various message boards trashing the magicchickendiet.

Bonnie and David Luper, have done nothing wrong. There real genuine salt of the earth people. THey both grew up in fort Worth,Tx. Bonnie Luper is the real deal.

Her, weight loss story is 100% genuine. Kimkins on the other hand is by all accounts a liar, a cheat and a fraud. Manny on the message boards were stating that Magicchickendiet.com was kimkin under a new new name. Also Bonnie posted to manny of her, doubters about whos she was and that her and her website and diet were in fact real.

Shes never hid from any one, Nor her or her husband have any knowledge of kimkins or her diets or any other ideas or content from her website. Bonnie and David Luperhad no one what so ever subscribe to kimkins.com or steal ideas or content from them or any one else.

Bonnie is happy and proud to display her new found life style and bodyher purpose was not soley just for profit. There was a huge buzz on the internet about www.magicchickendiet.com, and I believe that kimers and her paid assosiatesare out to smear, the good name of hard working people, who have done nothing except put alot of work into a website and diet program.

Its taking thousands of dollarsand thousnads of hours to , start and maintain a web site. They started it whith the firts 200 memebers to sign up, for only 20$ for a full life time memeber ship.As of some time this fall they filled, there first 200 quota. kimkins is by far afraid that there lieing, and sorted history and current legal troubles, frombeing a fruadulant company. That real genuine article, a better product will take away from there buisness.

I can only feel Kimkins is leading this with money paidto various people to smear, somthing that is really working for many people. Trying to keep there online dominance, and keeping people only choice to be a completefarse of a company.

Bonnies only underlying reason to do this web site was to have surgery to replace her brest she lost 18 years ago to breast cancer.

MY name is Hulon Pate, im 33 years old and from West, Texas. I will not sit idley by and have some fruad, undermind what my wifes family have worked hard to start.

While some one like kim kin who has, taken good money, from people under false pretenses. Every one knows the day before Kimmers assesets were frozen she purchaseda house with cash money.

I just want you guys at Fox 4. That an injustice has been done and that, the bottom line is money, Kimkins knows that the New Year will bring, new years resolutions and a diet plans for millions of Americans.

Now the issue on message boards abroad have stated"why not do this for people for free"My simple answer is this, Bill Gates has made more money than hundreds of people could spend in a life time, why does he charge for Vista, when he could easilygiven it away to the world for free?

Bonnie Luper is not hideing, Her plan is working for many people, of all backgrounds and incomes.Shes had no knowlage of Kimmers or any thing about her ,honestly till news of her own doing{kimkins} came to light on the news,Bonnie never herd of her.

Kimmers and her people know, that she is real, and are doing everything in there power to stop,Bonnie Luper. From having a original, woking ideas, rise up from the ruins of there own lies.

Bonnie Luper has a succesfull Candle buisness, and doesnt have time or the capasityto do steal or rip off any one for any reason.

I hope Fox 4 has the courage to stand up to a organization, that has large resourses, to knock of the lilttle lady fromTexas, and her true story, that is really helping people.
12/14/2007 2:40 AM "

(bolding and underscoring mine, and paragraph indents added in the faint hope that it may assist in your reading of Hulon's post)

PS....Hulon, honey, be sure to reference both a dictionary and spellchecker next time you post. It would be very helpful in deciphering your comments. Ta!

Now, Hulon's comments are very odd, given that Bonnie's husband, David, advertised the following on GetAFreelancer.com on June 10, 2007:
