KIMMER & SINGINGLASS: ONE OF YOUR KIMKINS MEMBERS COULD BE IN TROUBLE...

I have been contacted by a current member of Kimkins who is extremely worried about another one of your members (who I will call "Valley Girl") who has posted the above photo in her signature line, saying it is her "goal" to look like the young girl in the photo.

The Kimkins member who contacted me is afraid to post her concerns directly to Valley Girl on your site because she is fearful of being banned and losing contact with her friends.

It is quite obvious that the young girl in the photo has an eating disorder, which is evident from her protruding hip bones and extremely thin arms. It is a classic "thinspiration" photo.

Your KK member has provided me with Valley Girl's username. Valley Girl is planning on going to Las Vegas with other KK members, so you should be able to track her down with that information and the above photo.

From her posts, Valley Girl appears to "want it bad enough," so she could be on her way to a serious eating disorder.

Perhaps you could direct Valley Girl to this tragic post on the blog, Weighing the Facts:

WEIGHING THE FACTS: Professor Rosemary Pope Dies Of Anorexia At Age 49

I am hoping you both do the right thing and tell Valley Girl she could be courting physical and emotional disaster.

The Kimkins member who contacted me advised that she will keep me updated with any and all posts you make to Valley Girl, so she is anxiously awaiting your intervention in this matter.

The member is right to fear being banned. I'm sure that's exactly what would happen if she dared to speak out.

I hope that Singinglass and Heidi Diaz/Kimmer do the right thing by speaking up and helping this girl.

Thanks for linking, Medusa. The loss of Professor Rosemary Pope is an incredibly sad example of the dangers of eating disorders.

I posted on my blog about you, Medusa. I admire you for all that you do!

Who are we kidding? I wouldn't be surprised if K and SL think that picture is great and they themselves wanted to look like that.

I don't think they care or care to care.

They are stuck in their own trap.

I don't blame you for asking and trying - for now that is all we can do.

avenuegirl, I'm sure I'm tilting at windmills but I thought it was worth a shot.

Perhaps Heidi and SingingLass will wake up this morning with a conscience and do the right thing. I'm not holding my breath on that happening, but hope does spring eternal ;^)
